In this video I’m literally putting 20 years of Warhammer painting on the table—showing how I went from my very first Space Marine at age 8 to the Orc army I’m building now at 28. I start right at the beginning with that first red Marine where my highlights were just… everywhere. No direction, no real scheme, but the effort was there, and I think that matters. From there you’ll see me bounce through a bunch of Space Marine “phases” (red, blue, dark green, lime green, then black) and it’s honestly hilarious looking back—especially because I was accidentally painting lore-accurate vibes before I even knew the lore existed. I also talk through the boxes and models that shaped my hobby early on, like Assault on Black Reach, and how that box basically kickstarted my obsession with Orcs. I show some early Tyranids (Termagants) too, and I’m real about it: the paint job isn’t great, but it was my first time and the newer sculpts today are better. The big takeaway is that improvement isn’t magic—it’s time, reps, experimenting, and actually caring enough to keep going. After a three-year hiatus, YouTube reignited my passion, and now I’m about 75% of the way to my first official battle-ready Orc army.
