About This Video

In this video I’m walking you through the five critical mistakes to avoid when you’re building your first Warhammer mini—aka the stuff that turns a Space Marine into something that looks like it crawled out of a glue factory incident. I’ve done every single one of these myself, so consider this me taking the fall so you don’t have to. We start with mold lines: those sneaky ridges that run along the plastic. If you skip them, they’ll haunt you forever, and paint doesn’t hide them—it just makes them scream louder. Then we hit the classic glue problem. More glue doesn’t mean stronger; it means shiny blobs and melted detail. I also cover why dry fitting matters (because minis are sneaky and parts love to block each other), why rushing assembly leads to snapped weapons and weird “interpretive dance” poses, and why ignoring the instructions is how you end up with two left legs. I finish with a bonus tip on tools: you don’t need a Batman-level arsenal, but solid clippers, a hobby knife, and maybe a file make the whole process cleaner, stronger, and way less frustrating.
