Don't be a programmer. It's been cool, but this might be the dealbreaker. A career in software engineering obviously has monetary and lifestyle benefits... but at what cost? Your posture. And thus, coding might cost you your athletic ability, aesthetic attractiveness, social dominance, and street cred. Software developers spend excessive amounts of time sitting and staring downward at screens, which leads to "Tech Neck" (or "Nerd Neck"), muscle imbalances, and issues with spinal alignment and self esteem. In this video, I hope to warn you about the dangers of turning your body into the physical embodiment of a chair. I am not a medical professional - please do your own research on posture or consult a licensed physical therapist / physician / chiropractor. ► Looking for guidance in Computer Science and tech recruiting?
