This video is basically me cosplaying as a clout-chasing influencer in NYC for a day. Derek and I randomly bump into Jen, and suddenly I’m getting recruited as her “fan” while she makes me brush up on my Chinese and act like I just recognized her for the first time. We try to pull up to the Supreme x Tiffany & Co. launch, deal with the classic NYC hypebeast line being insanely long, and pivot into the usual chaos: filming, vlogging, and trying to squeeze content out of whatever’s happening in front of us. I show the behind-the-scenes of “influencer life” that’s not glamorous—awkward street interactions, trying to get photos with random hot guys, and the weird pressure of being “on” all the time. There’s also a real moment where we talk about how stressful it can get and how fame doesn’t magically cancel out depression.
