Can a Cheap 5 String Bass Become Pro Level?

I bought a Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jazz Bass V and decided to upgrade everything that actually matters. Bridge, pickups, electronics, strings, full setup. If you’re going to mod a bass, do it properly. Stringjoy strings for feel and tension. Hipshot bridge for mass and resonance. Seymour Duncan Apollo pickups for noiseless punch that still sounds like a Jazz Bass. Emerson Custom wiring because expensive pickups through cheap pots makes zero sense. And yes… the truss rod was stripped brand new out of the box. The real question is this: was it worth it? At what point do upgrades make more sense than just buying a higher end bass?
