https://mindmonkeyeffects.com/ Today I’m checking out the Mind Monkey Effects When I Grow Up I Want To Be A Fuzz, a boutique overdrive built around the idea of staying out of the way while still adding gain, feel, and texture. Mind Monkey describes it as a premium CNC-machined overdrive with Hi Gain, Volume, Blend, and Gain controls, and the pedal is currently listed at $279. The big idea here is transparency, but not in the usual marketing fog machine way. It has a clean blend, low-to-medium gain range, and an amp-like FET/preamp-style thing going on, so naturally I had to find out if this is actually transparent or just another overdrive wearing glasses indoors.
