About This Video

In this video I’m basically going full RGB goblin and showing you what Razer Chroma looks like when you stop thinking “keyboard and mouse” and start thinking “entire room.” Yeah, you’ve probably seen Chroma on the usual Razer peripherals—keyboards, mice, headsets—but the real fun is how far the ecosystem has expanded. With partnered brands (think PC-oriented stuff like fans and other gear via plugins) and room lighting like Philips Hue, Nanoleaf panels, and even Twinkly lights, you can turn your setup into a reactive environment that changes with your games or your music. My favorite part—and something I bring up a lot in my reviews—is in-game integration. When you boot up something like Apex, Overwatch, or Doom and your lights react in real time, it’s honestly absurd and unnecessary… and it is awesome. I also walk through how easy it is to get third-party devices working inside Synapse, plus why “single pane of glass” control is a bigger deal than people give it credit for. Instead of juggling three different phone apps, you can manage it all in Synapse—or even tell Alexa to kick off a “Chroma party.”
