In this video I spent a full month in Razer’s new Enki chair (and I also break down what changes on the cheaper Enki X) so I could give you a real “living with it” review instead of a 48-hour embargo take. I talk through the big differences versus the Razer Iskur—mainly that the Enki ditches the pop-out adjustable lumbar—and why Razer is positioning this as a more “hybrid” office/gaming chair. Aesthetically, I actually like the two-tone leatherette with the quilted diamond pattern, but let’s be real: on a Zoom call it still looks like a gaming chair. Comfort is where the Enki does some things right. The seat is shaped well, the annoying side bolsters are gone, and the built-in spine curve feels genuinely good—my wife and I both noticed that right away. But I also get into the stuff Razer didn’t nail: the slim backrest, the “budget-ish” feel of parts of the mechanism (especially on the Enki X), and how the seat depth/height just didn’t work great for me at ~6 feet and ~200 lbs after longer sessions. My takeaway: at $399, I’d rather tell you to spend a bit more on a Titan Evo; and at $299, the Enki X feels priced too high for what it is.
