I finally got hands-on with the Glorious GMMK Pro, and yeah—my review hit a little later than everyone else because of shipping issues outside of Glorious’ control. I also went into this one blind (no other reviews, no videos) so I could give you my actual experience. Right out of the box, the first thing that smacks you in the face is the weight: fully built it’s around 1700g, which is basically a full kilogram heavier than something like a Drop ALT. It’s all aluminum, it’s rock solid, and it genuinely feels like a keyboard with some balls to it. This is a 75% layout, so you keep the F-row and a few extra keys without ballooning the footprint—perfect if you’re coming from a compact board but still want those binds for editing or MMOs. The big “enthusiast feature” here is the rubber gasket-mounted plate design, which helps isolate vibrations and kill pinging, and it delivers a typing feel I honestly haven’t experienced on a production keyboard before. You also get a programmable, clickable volume knob with a satisfying resistance, plus a 5-pin hot-swap PCB with south-facing LEDs (great underglow, not great for shine-through keycaps). It’s not flawless: Glorious Core software was basically unusable for me and kept forcing factory resets. But if you’re okay living mostly on-board, the value is insane—plan around ~$300 fully built, and it absolutely dumpsters typical “gaming” boards in the $250–$300 range on quality alone.
