In this video I’m putting Razer’s two compact boards head-to-head: the 60% Huntsman Mini versus the 65% BlackWidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed. At a glance they look pretty similar, but the layout difference is real—on the V3 Mini you’re basically paying for those extra eight keys (arrows + the little cluster like delete/page up/page down/insert) and a bigger, heavier chassis with that extended front lip and logo. I also talk about the overall vibe: the Huntsman Mini is more minimal and clean, while the BlackWidow leans a bit more “gamery” with extra RGB flair. The big fork in the road is wired vs wireless. The BlackWidow V3 Mini can run Bluetooth or Razer HyperSpeed 2.4GHz, and I go over battery life (around 200 hours with LEDs off, roughly 40 hours at half brightness). But for most people, I honestly don’t think wireless is a must unless you’re doing laptop/TV setups or swapping between multiple Bluetooth devices. Where the Huntsman Mini really wins for me is the feel: Razer’s optical switches are the clear winner in my book, with shorter actuation and travel, plus noticeably better stabilizers. Add in doubleshot PBT keycaps and a much lower price ($120–$130 vs $180), and the value gap becomes pretty obvious—unless you specifically need a wireless 65% Razer board.
