About This Video

In this video I’m taking a deep dive on Razer’s newest flagship board: the Huntsman V2 Analog. It’s basically the “Huntsman Elite replacement” with a bunch of small quality-of-life fixes plus one huge change—analog switches. I walk through what’s different right away: the board feels sturdier and about 100g heavier thanks to the aluminum frame, it sits a bit higher with a steeper typing angle (which I actually prefer), and the wrist rest got reworked. They ditched the plastic bezel, gave you more usable space, and it feels like there’s more padding without looking all “poofy.” Then I get into the real reason this keyboard exists: the analog optical switches. You can set dynamic actuation anywhere from 1.5mm to 3.6mm, and you can even bind two actions to different points in the same keypress. I tested faster actuation for movement and deeper actuation for abilities in Apex, messed with the dual-step feature, and overall it worked really well. The force curve (54g to 74g) feels more premium than Razer’s lighter options, stabilizer rattle is noticeably improved, and you get modern upgrades like USB-C and a USB passthrough. The big downside is still the $250 price tag—and I’m still not in love with Razer’s PBT legend brightness—but if you want a full-size gaming flagship, this thing is absolutely in the conversation.
