36 grams. That is the weight of a single KFC sweet and sour sauce packet, a fork, or... the new Corsair Sabre V2 Pro Ultralite. 🖱️💨 When I first picked this up at PAX Australia, I was convinced it was an empty display shell. But after a month of testing (including a switch to Linux!), I’ve realized this might be the ultimate "flick" mouse for competitive FPS players. In this review, we’ll look at the 33k DPI Marksman sensor, the surprising durability of the non-honeycomb shell, and why Corsair’s new web-based driver software is both a blessing and a curse. About This Video

This one’s the Corsair Sabre V2 Pro Ultralite, and it looks like the most normal, boring mouse on the planet… right up until you pick it up and your brain short-circuits. It’s 36 grams. Thirty-six. The first time I handled it (at PAX Aus) I genuinely thought it was an empty display shell — like they’d forgotten to install the electronics. After a month of real use though, the weirdness wears off, and what you’re left with is a stupidly snappy, reliable little weapon that feels like you’re moving the idea of a mouse around your desk. I go over how Corsair hit that weight without the usual honeycomb Swiss-cheese holes, and why that matters for grime, maintenance, and not feeling like the shell is about to turn into plastic confetti. Performance-wise, the Marksman sensor has been rock solid for me on multiple surfaces, with up to 33,000 DPI and the option to go full gremlin mode with 8,000Hz polling (at the cost of battery). Battery life is surprisingly decent for a tiny 210mAh cell, but the included charging cable is hilariously stiff and basically ruins using it while plugged in. I also talk about Corsair’s new web-based software: I hated the concept, but in practice it’s fast, lightweight, and — crucially — it doesn’t care that I’m gaming on Linux now. My main gripe is the battery readout being a multi-click website adventure. Verdict: I’m not even a hardcore twitch-FPS type, and this thing still kind of converted me.
