Corsair Sabre V2 Pro (Amazon)

The Corsair Sabre V2 Pro Ultralite is the first mouse I’ve used that genuinely made me think it was a hollow display shell—because 36 grams is just silly. After a month of use it proved itself: snappy, 100% reliable tracking, comfortable shape, and it even plays nice with my Linux setup thanks to Corsair’s web-based config.

Pros

  • +Ridiculously light at 36g without honeycomb holes
  • +Marksman sensor feels fast, responsive, and has been totally reliable
  • +Comfortable medium symmetrical shape for palm/claw/fingertip styles
  • +Web-based setup is lightweight and works on Linux
  • +Good real-world battery life at 1,000Hz (about 55–65 hours)

Cons

  • -Included charging cable is very stiff and makes plugged-in use unpleasant
  • -Battery level is annoying to check (requires opening the web interface)
  • -Clicks sound a bit hollow/plasticky due to the thin shell
  • -8,000Hz polling tanks battery life (closer to 10–15 hours in practice)
