In this studio life vlog, I’m back in the nail room doing a little bit of everything—swatching, organizing, unboxing, and then getting into the real “behind-the-scenes” work: packing treat boxes for the BR Fam. I’m playing with inks (water inks vs. alcohol inks), showing you how I’m building out my swatch book system, and why I’m being extra picky about what I keep in the studio. If something smells bad or I can’t find proper info on it, I’m not keeping it—period. I also share why I prefer clear swatch sticks for sheers and cat eyes (the cream ones are just not it for me), but the natural/neutral swatches actually look so good for inks. I also unbox a few MelodySusie goodies, including the SC320A cordless nail drill, and I’m keeping it real about how I’m reviewing drills this year. I can’t “fully review” a drill off one set on myself, so I’m putting this one head-to-head with my current favorite drill over the next 60–90 days, using it for builder gel, hard gel, and polygel tests. Then we get into the sweetest part—two incredibly generous donations from Eileen and Audrey that go straight into our treat boxes for giveaways in my Facebook group (BR Nail Talk). I pack everything up, see what’s left for the year, and figure out what needs a separate giveaway (like acrylic stuff that doesn’t really fit the boxes).
