And for some reason that tiny win felt like the perfect way to start a video about timelines—because life is full of these small moments that don’t show up on anyone’s highlight reel. In this episode of Jason’s Journal, I talk about how social media can make life feel like a race. You open your phone and instantly see someone your age (or younger) buying a house, getting married, starting a business, making a lot of money—looking like they have everything figured out. And it’s so easy to spiral into, “What am I doing with my life?” But the more I sit with it, the stranger that idea feels: behind compared to who? Everyone starts in different places, with different opportunities and struggles, so it never made sense to measure our lives like we’re all meant to hit the same milestones at the same time. My takeaway is simple: life isn’t one straight line with one finish line. It’s seasons—fast ones, slow ones, quiet ones, uncertain ones—and the slower seasons matter.
