Today’s video is one of those “I legit just set up the camera and hit record” moments. I’m in a bit of a time crunch, I didn’t have anything planned to say, but I still wanted to show up—so I printed a memory while my thoughts kind of just… went where they needed to go. I’m using my Canon SELPHY CP1500 (4x6 prints), and I’m printing a horizontal photo of me at Horseshoe Bend (June 2, 2025). It’s a little crooked, not perfectly framed, and I’m not editing it. It’s a photo of me, so I’m keeping it as is. While the printer’s doing its thing, I talk about photo walks and how I haven’t really left the house “specifically just to go out” in a while—even though I live in a beautiful place and don’t really have excuses. I want to start a series using Meta glasses for POV, and I’m thinking of traveling lighter (iPhone, PowerShot V1, Osmo Pocket 3, Action 5 Pro) instead of bringing a big mirrorless setup. The bigger takeaway though is the mindset part: I feel stuck and kind of stagnant, like I’m at the spot where most people give up—but I’m not quitting. These videos have basically become my public diary, and I’m trying to stay grateful, present, and consistent, even when it’s not flashy.
