In this “printing a memory” episode, I’m basically doing two things at once: digging through my camera roll for a photo to print, and trying not to overthink what I’m saying. This video was shot super close to my last printing video (like 10 minutes apart), and I even journaled in between just so it didn’t feel like I was dumping the same exact vibe twice. I end up choosing a sunset photo from Haleakalā on Maui—my favorite place in the whole world—because that drive never gets old, being up there never gets old, and yes… always being cold up there is part of the fun. While the Canon Selphy CP1500 prints, I talk about something I genuinely regret: I wish I took more photos of myself. I’ve always been behind the camera, and I love that, but I don’t have enough “me in the world” photos to look back on. I make excuses—don’t know how to pose, feel weird asking someone, feel ashamed sometimes—but they’re still excuses, and there’s no one else to blame but me. Lately I’ve been trying to fix that by asking more often and taking more 0.5s. And because I’m me, I also nerd out about my favorite pen that I thought I lost forever: a titanium bolt-action that takes Pilot G2 ultra fine refills. It’s an EDC-type thing, but it’s also just part of how I show up—small tools that make journaling and memory-keeping feel satisfying enough to actually do.
