I put the NEW Ryobi 18V ONE+ HP Brushless 10" Sliding Compound Miter Saw to the test! Is it enough power for the job site, or just for the DIY shop? #ryobi #toolreview

About This Video

In this video I put the new Ryobi 18V ONE+ HP Brushless 10" Sliding Compound Miter Saw through its paces and talk about what you really need to know before you buy it. First off, it’s a single bevel saw, so it only pivots one direction—something you need to be aware of depending on the kind of trim or repeat cuts you do. The big reason I even grabbed this saw was the brushless motor, and I’ll be honest: it’s one of the main things that makes this saw worth looking at. Even though it’s a 10" blade, the sliding design gets you about 12" of crosscut capacity, which is pretty impressive for this size. I also go over the LED shadow line indicator (way better than lasers in my experience, because lasers can get knocked out of alignment). Cut capacity was great—I was slicing through 1x12s at 90° with no problem—and the shadow line was accurate and easy to use. I do hit the downsides too: it’s extremely loud when you power it on, the wind-down is long, and the dust collection is terrible. Overall though, for my first bigger Ryobi tool, I came away pretty impressed.
