I break down the two battery platforms (M18 vs M12), the different battery tiers (CP, XC, HD), and the little nuances that actually matter day-to-day—like why I prefer the M18 battery fuel gauge on the battery itself, and why the M12 release tabs can be a bit of a finger workout. Then I get into the big one: Milwaukee’s three tool tiers. If it just says Milwaukee M12/M18, that’s brushed (bottom tier). If it says “brushless,” that’s the middle tier. And if it says “Fuel,” that’s top tier—and you’re getting the brushless motor plus the Redlink ecosystem. From there, I walk through my top Milwaukee picks (the tools that genuinely blew me away), and I also call out what I’d personally avoid—like brushed combo kits, and the M12 5-3/8" circular saw (good performance, but shallow cut depth and it’s left-handed). Bottom line: I think Milwaukee is worth it, and I live by “buy nice, not twice.”
