Merry Christmas and happy holidays! In this video I’m painting the cutest little ceramic Christmas houses using a super affordable DIY kit I found at Kmart for $9. The kit comes with its own paints, but I wanted a totally different colour palette, so I used acrylics from my stash instead (honestly, whatever you already have will work). I take you through how I approach painting ceramics with acrylic—what I paint first, how I build up colour, and how I keep everything looking clean and bright without overthinking it. I also share a few fun “extra” ideas to make the houses look more magical, like using special-effect paints (my beloved FolkArt Dragonfly Glaze chameleon paints) and adding a pearly topcoat for a bit of shimmer. And if you want to turn them into proper little decorations, I show how fairy lights can completely level them up into glowy mini display pieces. If you’re after a cheap, cheerful craft that looks way more expensive than it is, this one is such a winner—easy, relaxing, and very festive.
