Today I’m doing a proper deep dive into Volume 2 of Sarah Renae Clark’s Colour Cube—yes, I flip through all 250 cards in the box. I love these kinds of tools for getting you out of your “same colours again” comfort zone, and Volume 2 has a really fun mix of moody, earthy, bright and punchy palettes that are super easy to reference while you’re creating. If you’ve ever stared at your supplies and thought, “I don’t even know where to start,” this is exactly the kind of gentle nudge that helps. After the flip-through, I pick a few limited palettes and actually put them to work in the Vibrant Wilds colouring book (also by Sarah). I used my Caran d’Ache Luminance pencils for this one—creamy, blendable, and perfect for building up rich colour without fighting the paper.
