In this video I honestly just wanted to paint, so I set myself up with my watercolours, a big block of Fabriano Artistico (12x18, 300gsm cold press, extra white), and a handful of my favourite brushes. I chat you through my process while I create two large watercolour pieces—loosely, intuitively, and with lots of little decisions along the way about colour, water control, and when to leave things alone. It’s very much a “let’s have fun with art” session rather than a strict step-by-step tutorial. I also share the lily reference photo I used (and yes—you’re totally welcome to use it for your own painting or drawing). Along the way I talk about the practical side of working large: keeping enough juicy paint mixed, managing bigger washes, and why good paper makes the whole experience feel easier.
