Happy New Year, friends! In this studio chat I’m officially sweeping 2025 under the rug and setting myself up to make lots of art in 2026. I have a proper catch-up, share some new goodies that have come into the studio, and—because I can’t help myself—talk about the little things that make creating feel extra fun and inspiring. It’s very much a “reset the desk, reset the brain” kind of video, with that fresh-start energy. I also finish off a few paintings from last year that were almost there, but just needed that final bit of magic—aka sparkle. I show what I’m adding and why, and it’s a nice reminder that you don’t have to call something done just because the year changes. Sometimes a piece simply needs you to come back with fresh eyes, a new tool, or a shimmery finishing touch.
