I had a great time with the Animal Care Staff at the San Diego Zoo! We explored Israel Goldiamond’s degrees of freedom model to better understand genuine choice and assent. In addition to examining the application of these concepts in real life, we also enjoyed a deep dive into concept analysis of the terminology and workshopping some video examples. It's exciting to see this information gaining traction, as it is very helpful in achieving our goals as trainers who are passionate about animal welfare. Members of AnimalTrainingFundamentals.com get access to more resources on these topics and how to apply them to animal behavior. #assent #genuinechoice #degreesoffreedom #animalambassadors #giantpouchedrattraining #scentdetection #porcupinetraining #foxtraining #fennecfox #prehensiletrailedporcupine
