What a special night! Recently I was fortunate to be invited to attend the Friends of Santa Ana Zoo Zoofari event. Not only did I make some new friends, but I also was honored to receive an award of appreciation for the work done to improve animal welfare with training. It was a wonderful opportunity to help showcase how training is used to impact the welfare of animals in managed care. I am really truly grateful to play a part in promoting positive animal welfare and for the recognition of my role. I very much enjoy providing information and helping problem solve, but what makes training effective is an amazing team who implements it. Thank you to the Santa Ana Zoo staff members for taking the journey of behavior transformation with me. #friendsofsantaanazoo #santaanazoo #appreciationaward #santaanazoofari #exoticanimaltraining #zooanimaltraining #animalwelfare #trainingforanimalwelfare
