You may ask yourself, is a safari a once in-a-lifetime adventure? And I would say yes. In this video I take you with us on a Nairobi National Park safari in Kenya—literally the only national park in the world bordering a capital city. We woke up early, and I loved that the van came and picked us up, because we didn’t have to “figure it out.” And then—boom—wildlife everywhere with the city skyline sitting right there in the background. I show you what we actually saw out there: giraffes (looked like a couple teenagers fighting), huge rhinos up close by the van, gazelle jumping around, zebras everywhere (morning rush hour in safari land), ostrich, baboons (including one with a baby—driver warned they’ll try to steal your stuff), hippos surfacing to breathe, and crocodiles after the driver looped us around to get closer. We also caught lionesses lounging and sleeping—sometimes you don’t see any, and then all of a sudden there they all are. And along the way I tie it back to what my channel is about: showing families practical steps to exit America and build a fun life abroad—even if it won’t be perfect.
