Welcome to another video you guys—this one is a tour of our time in Johannesburg, South Africa, and a full game drive experience at the Bothongo Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve in Krugersdorp. Big shout out to the Sibara family (Camp Journey) for hosting us, setting everything up, and making introductions that honestly made this whole trip possible. It was a windy, cold morning with a little rain at first, but it brightened up later—and the reserve delivered. We saw zebras, wildebeest, eland, lions (including white lions), painted dogs, cheetahs, vultures, warthogs, and even buffalo—plus we got a ton of real, on-the-ground education from guides who were genuinely incredible. I also want you to see the family-friendly side of this place. There are jungle gyms, seating everywhere, a restaurant setup that’s perfect after a long drive, and even areas where you can safely feed animals with pellets (human food is harmful, so they do it the right way). And just to be clear: this was an all-in-vehicle tour—no getting out—and I’m good with that. If you’re planning a South Africa visit and want a safari-style experience near Joburg that works for families, this is a solid option and a great “first game drive” kind of day.
