I’m sitting on the edge of the Indian Ocean reflecting on how blessed I feel to live abroad—and I want you to know this lifestyle is still possible for you, too. It’s been four years for us living overseas as digital nomads while we build our coaching/consulting family business. Along the way, we’ve gotten to experience the kind of “pinch me” moments people daydream about: horse trail riding in Rwanda, snorkeling Safari Blue in Zanzibar (starfish, octopus, sand dunes), learning Swahili as a family, and taking cooking classes like Ethiopian cuisine—plus trying all the African and Indian fusion food here in Zanzibar where we currently live. I also talk about the practical side: we moved because we invested in property, and now we own three (maybe four) properties—mostly in Zanzibar—and we’re investing in another one in a different country.
