Hey, it's Astrema Simone. In this vlog, I share my labor and delivery story. We finally welcomed our sweet baby #3, and I’m so excited to share this emotional, raw, and unforgettable birth story with you. This time, I gave birth without an epidural and with no induction. It was one of the most intense and empowering experiences I’ve ever had. About This Video

In this video, I’m finally sitting down (tea in hand, because my throat was acting up) to tell you my full labor and delivery story and introduce you to our baby #3. I filmed this at 7 days postpartum—baby boy turned one week—and I’m sharing the real details of how I went from showing up at the hospital 1 cm, to 4 cm on my own, and then all the way to 10 cm in what felt like no time. I talk about being alone for a bit while my husband was stuck at work, how my brother supported me until my husband got there, and how my mom literally walked in about 10 minutes before I pushed—by the grace of God. This was my first time going into labor without induction, and I was really trying to avoid Pitocin and an epidural. I explain why I personally choose no epidural (it’s mental, and I don’t want anything near my spine), what helped me cope (walking, and yes—a regular comb), and what it felt like when my body started doing what it needed to do. I also share postpartum updates: no preeclampsia this time, minimal bleeding compared to last pregnancy, and how I’m recovering faster because I didn’t tear. And of course—meet Mega. He was born July 30th, weighed 6 lb 15 oz (not the “8 pounds” they told me), latched right away, and he is truly such a calm baby. Now we’re learning life as a family of five—Mila, Mai, and Mega—and I’m excited to bring you along for postpartum, breastfeeding, and my “getting back to me” glow-up journey.
