About This Video

In this video, I’m taking y’all with me through my raw labor and delivery experience with baby #3 — no epidural, no induction at first, just me trying everything to get him to come on his own at 40 weeks. It starts on my actual due date (July 29th) after my NST and sonogram looked great, baby was estimated around 8 lbs, and they went ahead and scheduled an induction because I hit that 40-week mark. I also share why I was really trying to avoid Pitocin this time: I wanted my body to go into labor naturally, because those contractions with Pitocin can come on heavy and fast. That night I did one last “natural” attempt — a pregnancy dance cardio workout — and y’all… I truly think it helped. My contractions kicked in, I started timing them, and by the next day I was at the hospital getting monitored and checked. Even with all those contractions, I was only almost 2 cm at first, but then I progressed to 4 cm on my own (they didn’t even need the balloon). I show little behind-the-scenes moments (as much as I’m allowed) — the pressure, the back pain, the “I feel like I gotta poop” feeling, and me staying committed to no epidural. Baby boy arrived at 7:11, and the next morning I’m sharing that I didn’t tear and we’re both doing good.
