About This Video

Why? Hello everyone—I'm Andrea Silvestro, and in this video I do a singer first-time reaction to “One Summer” by Daryl Braithwaite (Patreon request). I went in totally blind, and honestly… as soon as this man started singing, I was absolutely here for it. The whole thing hits with this effortless vintage confidence, and even though it’s not summer right now, the track immediately gave me that big “summer vibe” energy. I break down what grabbed me as a vocalist and musician: the power and ease in his delivery (no strain, just going for it), plus the personality and stage presence that somehow comes through the screen. Instrumentally, I loved the layering—especially the use of three guitars doing different jobs (percussive elements plus two distinct parts), and those clean little hits with the pause/break and re-entry that made the production feel extra fun. Overall, it’s a bop—super sing-alongable, sway-to-it energy, and it honestly feels like it could be a crowd anthem. Also: the music video is random in the best way… and yes, the dog is a paid actor.
