Here are the direct links to Robert Oster Tangerine, an ink that I think is a great compliment: https://youtu.be/YCs32D6voqY Van Dieman's Styx Valley Forest Green is a green fountain pen ink. Here on the channel, there is a new ink review posted weekly. I get inks test them and share the results with you, so you know before you buy. General thoughts on the ink are given. Multiple pens are used to get a varied experience with the ink. Two chromatographies are done, one done correctly and one after the ink has dried for 10 min. A resistance test is done on Rhodia paper, it is allowed to dry for three days and is then tested for how it performs when you highlight the writing, water, pen flush, and 1/3 bleach solution are also tested. There is also a nib, pen, and paper recommendation for this ink. At the beginning of the “Nib and Recommendation there will also be a ‘card’ with the complement ink I think looks best. I check my email at least once a week. It is important with this and all reviews to remember I am not an expert. I am just a nerd with a camera and an opinion. I expect my opinion to mostly be wrong as it is just my solitary opinion, make your own judgment and don’t follow groupthink. There always seems to be some variation of ink, pen, or paper. These are things out of my control, and I can only give my opinion on what I have in front of me. If your opinions are different, I encourage you to share them in the comments but please remember I am an amateur just having fun…. Also, me and everyone else you interact with on the internet is an actual human on the other end of the computer, they might be having a bad day and your kind words might be the best thing that happens to them that day. I am in shock if you have read this much of the description, if you have comment and let me know you found this. If you want, you can also follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/aninkguy/ I realize my audio has never been very good, I'm constantly trying to work on it. I also realize that I am not good at color correction…. I am not a professional, but an amateur with a camera. DO NOT contact anyone on telegram (or any other social media) claiming to be me. I am not running giveaways and I will not ask you for money. They are scammers and spammers, and they want to steal your money and personal information. About This Video

In this review I’m testing Van Dieman’s Styx Valley Forest Green, a green fountain pen ink, the same way I test everything on the channel: across multiple pens, nib sizes, and a stack of papers so you can see what it actually does before you buy it. I start with my general thoughts and then run writing samples on Maruman Mnemosyne, Clairfontaine, Portage Reporter, National Steno, Rhodia, Mead composition paper, and plain 20lb Hammermill copy paper. The goal is simple—show the ink in the real world, not just in a pretty swab. I also do two chromatographies (one “normal” and one after the ink has sat and dried for about 10 minutes) to see how it breaks apart and what’s hiding in the mix. Then I do my resistance testing on Rhodia after a full three-day dry time: highlighting, water, pen flush, and even a 1/3 bleach solution. I wrap up with nib/pen/paper recommendations for Forest Green, plus a color-complement suggestion (and in this one I point you to Robert Oster Tangerine as a great pairing) so you can build a set of inks that play nicely together.
