I sneak in some much-needed me-time before the kids wake up, whether that’s a quick ballet workout, a few sips of coffee while it’s still hot, or just a moment to breathe and prepare for the whirlwind ahead. Once the kids are up, it’s full steam ahead—making breakfast, packing lunches, and getting everyone dressed and ready for the day. It’s a bit like herding cats, but somehow, we make it work! Once the older two are off to school, I shift gears to focus on my littles at home. Between playtime with the toddler, feeding the baby, tidying up the never-ending mess, and squeezing in a bit of housework, the mornings seem to fly by. I’ll also share some of the little hacks and routines that help keep things running smoothly (most of the time!). Afternoons are when things get really busy. School pickups, snacks, and homework blend into a bit of chaos as everyone comes back together under one roof. It’s noisy, it’s messy, and there’s a lot of “Mom! Mom! MOM!” happening, but these moments are also some of my favorites. Watching the kids play together (even if it’s for five minutes before the squabbles start) or helping them with their reading is such a special part of the day. By dinnertime, the house feels like a bit of a circus—but in the best way. I’m cooking while the kids are running around or helping set the table, and we somehow manage to gather together for a meal.
