Made this video mostly for future me—but here it is, a video diary of a week on the road (my first ever American road trip!) šŸš— We explored national parks and traveled from California to Utah to Colorado. It’s one of those rare times I wasn’t working, just focusing on each day as it comes and paid attention to what was in front of me. Tag along with me on this journey through mountains, deserts, rocks (my fave) and everything in between :) National Parks visited (in order) Arches National Park Colorado National Monument Black Canyon of the Gunnison Rocky Mountain National Park Great Sand Dunes Mesa Verde National Park Jackie's road trip adventures: https://www.instagram.com/brokenhalo81/ šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€šŸ« Skillshare class (free trial!) → https://skl.sh/3DGNnGF šŸŽØ Journal club → http://patreon.com/join/abbeysy šŸ“• The Art of the Travel Journal → https://www.abbeysy.com/the-art-of-the-travel-journal šŸ’» Work inquiries • social media & biz partnerships → abbeysywork@gmail.com • get in touch → http://abbeysy.com/contact āļø Affiliates Blackwing: https://blackwing602.com/abbeysy Everyday Explorers Co.: http://everydayexplorers.co/abbeysy Epidemic Sound: https://bit.ly/abbeysymusiccredits Field Notes: https://fieldnotesbrand.com/ (enter "10ABBEY" code on checkout for 10% off) šŸ”Ž Elsewhere Instagram → http://instagram.com/abbeysy Tiktok → https://www.tiktok.com/@abbeysy šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€šŸŽØ About Hey! About This Video

This video is basically my first-ever American road trip video diary—made mostly for future me, but I’m sharing it with you too. We started in Sacramento (yes, because of Lady Bird), drove through Nevada, and made our way into Utah and Colorado with a week of mountains, deserts, and my personal favorite: rocks. Along the way, I squeezed in a few stationery stops—like City of Industry in Salt Lake City and Two Hands Paperie in Boulder (a Traveler’s Company partner shop), where I did what I always do: browse, stamp, and admire paper goods. It was also my first time visiting national parks, so I went all-in on the ā€œvisitor center rinse and repeatā€: stamps, exhibitions, and a little bit of merch. I stamped everything into my Traveler’s Notebook passport insert (still counts as a passport, I’d like to think) and used the trip as an excuse to paint quick symbols and mini landscapes on the go. More than anything, this week felt like a reset—less laptop time, more looking out the window, and more evenings spent journaling instead of doom scrolling. By the end (Mesa Verde especially), I felt calmer, more balanced, and honestly very inspired for future creative projects.
