About This Video

To celebrate four years of living in Berlin, I decided to play tour guide for my brother—and basically bring you along for a very wintry, very touristy week in my city. We braved what felt like the coldest Berlin has been in forever (it was apparently the coldest winter in 16 years), did a lot of commuting, and hit a mix of classic spots and personal favorites: the East Side Gallery, a photo booth hunt (including the only colored booth I know of), and the Deutsches Technikmuseum—where I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed the trains and aviation sections. But of course, the real through-line is how I documented everything in my daily journal. I flip through the pages from that week and show the exact stickers, tapes, and ephemera I used—like my Berlin-themed washi, snowflake stickers for the snowy days, big PET tapes that basically become the main visual, and little icon stickers (like the film one for the movie night). I also talk about the more reflective parts of the week: winter being a naturally pensive season, feeling anxious while getting things drilled into my walls, and how grounding it was to have my brother around while I slowly settled back into routines. If you want Berlin ideas plus a realistic look at memory-keeping in real time, this one’s for you.
