Happy Fountain Pen Day from me and Job! In this video, we’re doing a super casual catch-up while swatching a bunch of fun ink pickups—mostly store and show exclusives—from the year (hello, SF Pen Show and travels). We’re using the Pinky Elephant x Thousand Skies cotton ink swatch cards (thank you RJ!), and honestly, swatching on these is extra satisfying because the little artworks make me excited to look at the swatch every time. I swatch inks like the Sailor Penro exclusive 2025 (a cute, true-blue/indigo moment with mushrooms), Sailor 50 States “Colorado” (a deep purple that’s giving growth and sentimentality after my road trip), and a few inks that surprised me—like Kobe “Do You Believe in Fairies?” which is this minty bluish-green that would totally pop on a broader nib. Job brings in gems too, like a cooler-toned brown from Sailor’s Uramu line and a scented Yoseka exclusive that literally smells like eucalyptus and looks like the plant. We wrap by lining the colors up Roy G. Biv-style and sharing favorites—because yes, basically all of them are cute.
