This video is basically me being out and about in Berlin while a new chapter is commencing: I got the keys to my new apartment (internally screaming), did the very adult thing of measuring spaces, and found myself accidentally on an “art scouting” mission for my future walls. I start with a quick unboxing from Kristoffer Nøman’s open studio—his work has inspired me since I watched his Abstract episode years ago, and I genuinely loved how thoughtfully everything was packaged. The travel illustrations in the calendar made me want to collect more art (and also paint my own piece for the new place). It was also one of those hot Berlin days (close to 30°C), so the vlog turns into a little slice-of-life: setting up and teaching a workshop at C*Space, meeting friends for ice cream, and taking myself on a solo trip with a book in my bag. I share a mini life/admin check-in—SF Pen Show prep, freelance work, resident permit paperwork, and the very real overwhelm of being a 32-year-old human living in a foreign city. To wind down, I show my flea market haul from Arkonaplatz: German ephemera (stamps, postcards, envelopes), a Berlin-themed mt tape side quest, and a Beatles record (because yes, Abbey Road is literally part of my origin story). It’s equal parts stationery joy, moving logistics, and a reminder that a quick notebook “brain dump” can save your sanity.
