About This Video

In this video, I’m finally doing a proper chatty catch-up and walking you through my everyday journaling system for 2025—how I use a Hobonichi Techo Original (A6) alongside a TRAVELER’S notebook. My Hobonichi is my “record of the day” space: compact, dated, and perfect for stream-of-consciousness notes plus quick bullet-style timestamps. I follow my personal “3/10 rule” (don’t go past 3 days without updating; if I’m journaling daily, I keep it to around 10–15 minutes) so it stays sustainable and doesn’t turn into homework. I’ll show real page examples—everything from simple day logs (viewings, workouts, dog-sitting) to bigger “core memory” entries like signing my lease (yes, I used Platinum Carbon Ink because I wanted permanent ink for my contract). I also share the small tools that make a huge difference: prompt stickers (especially from Everyday Explorers Co.), tiny ephemera I pick up in daily life, and photo printing—lately with the Canon QX20 when I need quick visuals without bulking up my journal. Then I connect it all to my TRAVELER’S notebook system: undated inserts for more flexible, creative spreads, recaps, and “tourist in my own city” documentation in Berlin. The TN becomes my playground for ephemera, color matching, and longer reflections when the Hobonichi feels too tight—so the two notebooks work in conjunction, same same but different.
