It’s that time of the year—Techo Kaigi season—so in this video I’m sharing my full 2026 lineup of planners, journals, and the “other notebooks” that keep my life (and my brain) from turning into a pile of forgotten Notes app fragments. I walk you through what I’m using for planning, journaling, brainstorming, and what I lovingly call “adulting,” plus how these systems have shapeshifted over the years depending on my work, travel, and energy levels—especially now that I’m back in Berlin winter and easing into the year. For planning, I’m using my well-loved TRAVELER’S notebook cover with a monthly overview insert (orange cover, very fun to decorate) as an everyday work carry, plus my undated JIYU weekly for flexible weekly planning with more space than my old ring setup. For journaling, my Hobonichi Techo remains my mainstay—quick 5–10 minute entries, stickers if I feel like it, and I love how light it feels at the start of the year. I also have a wild card: the Analogue Keeper monthly diary, which I’m thinking of using for month-focused memory keeping and media tracking. I also share my travel journal system (always TRAVELER’S notebook, regular or passport depending on the trip), my analog design/brainstorming tools (Blackwing Slate + Field Notes), and my life admin notebooks—including a “30s diary” Leuchtturm A6 and a Plotter Narrow I’m reintroducing as a second-brain adulting system. Biggest takeaway: take your time. Your lineup doesn’t have to be perfect in week one, and I’m always going to advocate for using stationery mindfully—no pressure to buy everything just because it’s trendy.
