About This Video

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but it was already the tail end of November when I filmed this—and I was all caps tired. So this video is basically my gentle reset for the season: a list of cozy, creative hobbies I’m intentionally leaning into so I can slow down, pay attention to my energy, and stop treating “rest” like a vague concept. If you’re an introvert like me who loves staying home and doing things with your hands, this is for you. I start by making a mood board/vision board for autumn into winter (and yes, I print it—one for my desk and an A6/AS6-sized one to paste into my daily journal so I see it as I flip through). Then we get into journaling as seasonal documentation: reflecting on the year, saving little bits of ephemera, adding Instax photos, and even logging drinks like my current hot chocolate obsession. I also talk about baking (even though I “don’t like baking,” apparently I’ve been doing it weekly), writing as a separate practice from journaling—thinking out loud, building a library of ideas—and finally, scheduling movie nights in your planner so you actually commit. Plus: a winter craft idea I’m excited about—framed collages from my ephemera stash—as I slowly make my apartment feel like home.
