About This Video

I didn’t even plan to film this trip, but somehow I ended up with a little video diary of autumn days in London, a quick Liverpool detour, and a day trip to Oxford. In Liverpool, I had my tiny Beatles pilgrimage moment—walking around Royal Albert Dock, popping into The Beatles Story, and just letting myself take it in without the pressure of “making content.” I also realized (again) that I have a very real exploring threshold: give me four hours, max three places, and then I need to retreat or I’ll get overstimulated and question my entire existence. Back in London, this vlog becomes a mix of travel and the way I actually document trips: collecting ephemera, taking notes, and letting the journal tell the story. I share the routines that keep solo travel manageable for me (grocery breakfast, lunch out, grocery dinner—Whole Foods is always a safe bet), plus the things I genuinely cared about this time around: art, music, books, and coffee. And because I went a little ham after the trip, I wrap everything up with a full flip-through of eight finished spreads in my 2025 EU travel journal insert (Traveler’s Notebook MD Cream). It’s very “Abbey-coded”—browns, date stamps, museum tickets, pastry notes, and all the imperfect little overflow pages that make it feel real.
