About This Video

In this video, I show you how I use Stock Rover for screening, start to finish, so you can go from “I don’t know where to begin” to running screeners that actually match your investing style. I start right on the Stock Rover dashboard (think of it as your command center), then I jump into the Screener section where all the screening tools live. The big takeaway here is: don’t reinvent the wheel. Stock Rover already gives you a rich set of pre-built screeners—breakout, Buffett-inspired, capital efficiency, dividend growth, fair value, and more—so you can learn from criteria that are already assembled by people who know what they’re doing. Next, I walk you through a shortcut most people miss: right-clicking inside the screener view to open the context menu. From there, I use “Browse Screener Library” to access an even deeper set of templates organized by strategy and data focus. Once you load a template you like, I right-click again and hit “Modify Screener” to open the editor and customize every filter—valuation thresholds, growth rates, dividend requirements, and even sector restrictions. My workflow is simple: dashboard → screeners → browse library → load template → modify, and make small, incremental changes while watching how your results update.
