About This Video

In this video, I show you how to switch accounts in Claude Code—and the big thing most people miss is that account switching context lives inside the Code workspace, not the regular chat view. So before you try to log out, log in, or troubleshoot a weird session issue, I walk you through getting into the right place first. I start by going to Claude in the browser (not a stale bookmark), because landing on the main page helps refresh your session and load the current interface, which can change as new features roll out. From there, I click Code in the left-hand sidebar to enter the dedicated coding workspace. That’s where projects, dev tooling, and account-specific permissions actually apply, so it’s the correct environment to manage which account you’re operating under. I also cover the access requirement that can stop you mid-way: if you see an upgrade prompt, your current plan doesn’t include Code access. Once your plan supports it (and your org/region allows it), the workspace unlocks and you’re set up to handle account context in Claude Code confidently and without interruptions.
