About This Video

In this video, I show you the simplest way to export a ChatGPT chat (or just the exact prompt you care about) and continue it inside Claude without losing your flow. The goal is quick, clear, and practical: copy what you need from ChatGPT, start a fresh chat in Claude, paste it in cleanly, and keep the handoff consistent so you can pick up right where you left off. I start in ChatGPT by opening the specific conversation and deciding what to move—usually the original prompt, plus any clarifying lines you want Claude to see. I highlight the text carefully, copy it (Cmd+C on Mac / Ctrl+C on Windows), and do a quick privacy check so I’m not pasting sensitive info into a new tool. Then I switch to Claude, make sure I’m signed in, click the plus icon to open a new chat, and paste (Cmd+V / Ctrl+V). I also share a couple small tips that make a big difference: keep your line breaks for readability, use Shift+Enter while drafting to preserve structure, and optionally add a one-line title/context note at the top so future-you knows what the thread is about. If formatting looks weird, strip extra spacing or special characters before you send.
