If you liked what the first one was trying to do—one-button recording that syncs to the PLAUD app for full transcriptions, summaries, action items, mind maps, and “Ask PLAUD” search—this is that same workflow, just improved in pretty much every single way. I walk through the unboxing, the updated design (still super light at 30g), and why it feels more elegant and better executed overall. The big upgrades are in the hardware and day-to-day usability: four mics instead of two, better audio fidelity, background noise filtering, and even overlapping voice identification. Capture distance jumps to 5m/16.5ft, which is huge for larger boardrooms. The rocker switch is gone too—the Note Pro automatically detects whether you’re recording a phone call or ambient audio, so there’s no “oops, wrong mode” moment. Add in the AMOLED display (with smart, non-distracting behavior), faster transfers, better connectivity, and Apple Find My support, and it’s honestly a no-brainer buy for my meeting-heavy workflow—just keep the subscription/credit model in mind if you need more than the free monthly minutes.
