https://bit.ly/50s_Kid Check out the above link if you're interested in the BimmerTech Alpha One audio system upgrade. Some additional notes and corrections: 1. The base audio system CAN be upgraded to the Alpha One amplifier. It comes with all the brackets and harnesses needed. 2. There is a fourth audio system that came on some cars that was called the "Individual High-End" system. This was a really expensive option that was more common in Europe. The amp is 825 watt, meaning there is no need to upgrade it. Also, the tweeter and midrange speakers are top quality and also do not need to be upgraded, however you will see some improvements by installing the alpha one 7ohm subwoofers on these cars. About This Video

Hey guys, I’m the 50sKid, and in this video I review the BimmerTech Alpha One speaker upgrade for the E90 BMW. I go through what’s actually in the full kit—A90 underseat subwoofers, A45 and A40 midranges, and A10 tweeters (including the center dash and rear deck pieces)—and I also give you full disclosure: BimmerTech sent these to me for free. But I’m picky about what I show on my channel, and if something’s not ready for prime time, I send it back and don’t review it. Before I even talk sound, I break down the different E90 audio systems so you can figure out what you’ve got: the base “bass” system (6 speakers, no trunk amp), the Hi-Fi system (10 speakers with a 180W amp), and the Top Hi-Fi/Logic 7/Harman Kardon system (13 speakers with a 420W amp). I explain the quick tells—like whether you have a center speaker and a graphic EQ—and I also clear up a big detail: you’ve got to order the correct subwoofer impedance. I even share my own mix-up where I got the wrong ohm subs at first and it sounded bad. As for the sound, oh my god—it’s amazing. It’s way more crisp and clear, and even at high volume there’s no distortion or crackling. The bass isn’t “twice as loud,” but it’s tighter, cleaner, and the whole system just works together really nicely.
