RHCP | THE ZEPHYR SONG | DRUM COVER | BOSPHORUS CYMBALS

162 views· 31 likes· 3:52· Feb 4, 2026

Single take drum cover by 17 years old drummer. @RedHotChiliPeppers ALL my drum covers / playthroughs on this channel are recorded in a single take using the drumless track. I just use Logic Plugins like Gain, EQ, Compressor, Reverb, Limit for the mix. So to say: RAW audio without any editing or any usage of samples, quantizing or stuff like that - just mixing! All my covers are demonstrations of my drum performance and that's why I don't use more camera angles. About This Video

In this video I’m playing a single-take drum cover of “The Zephyr Song” by Red Hot Chili Peppers. It’s one of those tracks where the vibe matters just as much as the notes—steady pocket, clean dynamics, and letting the groove breathe while the song floats over it. I’m locked in with the drumless track and I’m basically just trying to serve the song: keep it smooth, keep it driving, and keep it musical all the way through. Like all my covers/playthroughs, this is RAW performance—no samples, no quantizing, no editing tricks. I only do a simple mix in Logic with basic plugins (gain, EQ, compression, reverb, limiting) so what you hear is my actual playing in real time. I also keep it to one main angle on purpose, because the whole point is the drum performance itself. Gear-wise I’m on my Mapex Armory setup with Bosphorus cymbals, and I’m recording through a Focusrite Scarlett rig with close mics and overheads into Logic Pro.
