In this video I’m playing a single-take drum cover of “Ultra City” by Andy James, and yeah… it’s straight heat. No edits, no samples, no quantizing—just me on the kit with the drumless track and a raw performance that’s all about feel, control, and consistency. If you’re here for tight double bass, fast accents, and that modern metal punch, this one’s built for it. I kept the setup simple on purpose: one angle, one take, because my covers are meant to show the actual performance. For the mix I only use basic plugins (gain, EQ, compression, reverb, limiting) to make everything sit right—nothing that changes what I played. The whole point is to capture that “Heat up here” energy and push it all the way through the track, while keeping the cymbal work musical and the kicks locked in.
