In this video I’m doing a single-take drum cover of LINKIN PARK’s “Leave Out All The Rest” on my Mapex Armory Black Dawn Studioease kit with Bosphorus cymbals. I’m 17 and I keep these covers as real as possible: I track it to a drumless version of the song and focus on feel, dynamics, and playing the parts clean all the way through—no safety nets, no edits. This song is all about emotion, so I’m trying to let the groove breathe and support the vocals instead of overplaying. Just like all my playthroughs, the audio is RAW performance with mixing only in Logic Pro (gain, EQ, compression, reverb, limiting). No samples, no quantizing, no “fixing” the timing—what you hear is what I played in that take. I also keep the video simple with one main angle because the point is the drum performance itself.
