The biggest issue was the engineer not being familiar with FL Studio, asking how to turn the beat down, and the whole session turning into a DAW tutorial instead of a recording session. Then you add in default FL stuff like the master limiter being on, Soundgoodizer on a major artist chain, not saving until halfway through, trying to switch to “real” Auto-Tune mid-take with an expired license, and the crash + rerouted inputs after restart. My takeaway is simple: FL is fire for beats, but for intense vocal sessions where you need fast punch-ins and multitasking, Pro Tools (or even free options like Luna) is just a safer move.
